Mardi Himal (5-6 Days)
Recently opened, Mardi Himal is an excellent option for those with limited time who want to be close to the Himalayan peaks. The trail heads out of Pokhara through picturesque farming villages with lush paddy fields and ventures into thick bamboo and rhododendron forests which bloom during the spring seasons. The trail eventually give way to viewpoints offering stunning views of the Himalayan giants, from Dhaulagiri to the peaks of the Annapurna massif.
The region has not yet felt the impact of mass tourism, allowing visitors to experience the warmth, hospitality, and customs of the local people, which have remained largely unchanged for generations.
The return leg follows the same trail to some extent and makes a slight detour before reaching out to Pokhara.
