Langtang valley situated north of Kathmandu which will expose you to the wildest and most picturesque areas of Nepal. This is a moderate trek in terms of the required rigor which starts after a long drive to Syabrubensi. The treks follows Langtang river as it winds through beautiful rhododendron and conifer forests (look out for the elusive Red Pandas perched high up in the trees) through the Langtang National Park on the way to the Kyanjin Gompa. The route then leads up to the high alpine yak pastures, glaciers and moraines around Kyanjin.

Along this route there is immense opportunities to experience the whole range of Himalayan topography as the trail heads south through a lush green valley before returning to Kathmandu. Centuries old Kyanjin Gompa has been rebuilt after the devastating earthquake and so is the Swiss cheese factory which is now operational.
