Helambu is a region of highland villages situated just north of Kathmandu. Helambu is home to indigenous Hyolmo people and artistic Buddhist monasteries. The apple grown here are considered to be the sweetest. A round about circuit starts with a short drive to Sundarijal and passes through Sivapuri National Park. The trails heads north to Chisapani and further to Tarke Ghyang. The trail between Kutumsang and Malemchi Gyang offers the most dramatic views. This is more like a cultural immersive tour with plenty of opportunities to interact with the locals.
