LGBTQ+ Nepal
Nepal has come a long way in recognising the rights of LGBTQ+ people, especially in the regional context of South Asia as the first South Asian country to legalize same-sex relationships. Our Constitution provides protections for sexual and gender minorities, and the country has taken important steps towards recognising gender identity and equality.
At Snow Leopard Trek, we welcome LGBTQ+ travellers and are committed to creating journeys where our guests feel comfortable, respected and free to be themselves.
As a country of many different communities and traditions Snow Leopard recognizes that attitudes can vary between Kathmandu, the main tourist centres and more remote mountain communities. We believe that travelling responsibly means understanding these differences while ensuring that our guests are treated with dignity wherever their journey takes them.
Our guides and local partners are an important part of this. We work to foster an atmosphere of respect and understanding, and to make sure our guests feel supported throughout their time in Nepal.
For us, inclusion is simple: everyone deserves to feel welcome on the trail.
