SHAMBALA - A Journey of Renewal

For centuries, seekers, pilgrims, and travellers have crossed the Himalayas in search of something that cannot be found on a map.

In Buddhist tradition, Shambala is the hidden kingdom of peace, wisdom, and awakening—a place reached not only by following a path through the mountains, but through a transformation within.

Inspired by this enduring legend, our twelve-day retreat invites you on a thoughtfully curated journey through Nepal's sacred landscapes. From ancient monasteries and Himalayan villages to forest sanctuaries and timeless indigenous Newari settlements, each destination has been chosen for its unique capacity to restore, inspire, and reconnect.

Along the way, meditation, yoga, sound healing, and mindful movement are woven naturally into the journey, inviting moments of stillness between discovery. Guided by experienced practitioners and local hosts, each experience draws upon Nepal's enduring spiritual traditions while embracing contemporary approaches to holistic wellbeing.Rather than offering wellness as a treatment, Shambala embraces it as a way of travelling—through movement, stillness, culture, nature, and meaningful human connection.

This is not simply a retreat.

It is an invitation to slow down, listen deeply, and rediscover the quiet rhythms that have shaped Nepal for centuries.

Namo Buddha - A Place of Compassion

One of the holiest Buddhist pilgrimage sites in the Himalayas, Namo Buddha marks the place where, according to legend, the young Prince Mahasattva encountered a starving tigress unable to feed her cubs. In an act of profound compassion, he offered his own body so that they might live—a story believed to recount one of the Buddha's previous lives.
