DAY 01: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara by tourist bus.
Drive around 7 hours from Kathmandu to Pokhara along the Prithvi Narayan Highway and Trishuli river. Overnight at the hotel in Pokhara.
DAY 02: Drive to Nayapul and trek to Tikhedhunga or Ulleri(1960m)
From Pokhara to Nayapul, drive around 2 hours by local bus. Your trek starts from Birethanti, a village beside the Modi River. The trail is a gradual climb up the side of the valley, reaching Hile(1495m) and Tikhedhunga(1570m) before pushing on to Ulleri(1960m). Overnight at the local lodges.
DAY 03: Tikhedhunga-Ulleri-Banthanti-Nangethanti-Ghorepani(2840m)
Leaving Tikhedhunga, we continue with our journey with a steep climb up to Ulleri. Ulleri is a large Magar village a 2070m. The trail then continues to ascend more gently, through fine forests of oak and rhododendrons towards Banthanti at 2250m. Then we trek towards Nangethanti at 2600m before arriving at Ghorepani(2840m). Ghorepani is a relatively large village with excellent views of the Annapurna range, Machhapuchhre, Dhaulagiri and Nilgiri. Here you can stock up on supplies such as drinking water, snacks, etc. Overnight at the hotel in Ghorepani.
DAY 04: Ghorepani-Pooh Hill-Deurali-Tadapani(2540m)
From Ghorepani, we wake up at around 4 am to visit Poon Hill(3210m) about 50 minutes’ walk for the spectacular sunrise over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. An excellent vantage point, Poon Hill provides an obstructed view of the high Himalayas. Here we spend an hour or so before returning back to the Ghorepani for breakfast. Leaving Ghorepani, we climb along the ridge and through alpine rhododendron forests toward Deurali(2960m) before reaching Tadapani. Overnight at the local lodges.
DAY 05: Tadapani-Ghandruk-Nayapul. Drive to Pokhara
From Tadapani the trail descends through forests to Ghandruk. Ghandruk is a village of Gurung people, one of the ethnic groups of Nepal, who have their own dialect, culture, costume, and lifestyle. Ghandruk is also the home of many Gurkha soldiers. It is a famous destination for trekkers as it is known for its beautiful mountain views and within easy reach from Pokhara and Kathmandu. We have the afternoon to visit the museum in the village and explore the village as well.
DAY 06: Pokhara to Kathmandu drive by tourist bus.
Drive around 7 hours from Pokhara to Kathmandu along the Prithvi Narayan Highway and the Trishuli River. Overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.
