Tibet

Introduction


The Tibet Autonomous Region is located on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau at the south westernmost tip of china, 4,000 meters above sea level at an average. Tibet is known as the Roof of the World because there are over 50 peaks more than 7,000 meters above sea level. Covering an area of 1.2 million square km, Tibet has a population of more than 2.3 million.
