Briddhim Trek

Briddhim Trek

Overview

Briddhim is a new and unique non tourist area trek opened to visitors only since 2004 in Langtang region and also called the Tamang Heritage Trail.

Briddhim trek is good for its natural beauty, traditional cultures, Buddhist way of living. You can experience the genuine warmth and welcome, rich architecture of Tamang people and their villages. This trek also offers Natural Hot Spring, wildlife around the secret lake of Parbati Kund, the picturesque village of Gatlang with its people’s traditional dresses and typical dances, excellent view of Snow-capped Mountains and a stroll along Rasuwa Gadi , which has another form of the famous Chinese wall. You can also get a great view of mountains like Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, Tibetan mountains and other peaks.

The Briddhim trek (Tamang Heritage Trail) in Langtang has reopened after remaining closed for three months due to the April 25 earthquake.

Local tourism entrepreneurs said the heritage trail was largely unaffected by the quake although Rasuwa district was one of the most-hit areas.
