Gorkha District
On 2015/05/06 Snow leopard trek distributed a sack of rice per family, lentils and noodles to 60 households of Gyamphesal villages, Masel in Gorkha district. Gorkha is around 10 hours drive from Kathmandu and was the epicenter of the massive 7.9 magnitude earthquake.
On 2015/05/14 We participated in a massive relief mission in northern Gorkha villages (Larpak, Gomda and Barpak). The epicenter of the quake. Around 200 porters have been mobilized for a 7 days trek mission to provide 500 tents, rice and other relief materials to the surrounding hill villages of Barpak, Laprak, Gomda, Lapsegaon etc. We hope that by hiring local porters we can kick start the local economies besides providing relief to these really remote villages.
