2021 Greetings

2021 Greetings!

Wishing good health and happiness in 2021 to all friends and guests of Snow Leopard Trek. In the spirit of adventure, The Snow Leopard team has moved into the New Year planning all our upcoming trips in a COVID- safe way. We lived through this pandemic the whole of 2020 and with our resilience we have survived, and have now decided to restart our services. Out in the wilderness, we hope once again to turn to nature and reconnect, as we guide our friends and adventure lovers on this important journey!

The Snow Leopard Trek with immediate effect is going to put the following COVID safe trekking protocols for the coming seasons.

  • We are already catering to resident ex-pats & Nepalese
  • We will be operating our treks & tours only to those areas free of COVID. We will be closely monitoring the COVID statistics in the trekking areas.
  • Wherever driving is necessary for trekking we will take our guests only in private vehicles and not in shared tourist buses.
  • Our guides and any other staff (including driver) going from Kathmandu for the trekking service will be tested negative prior to the trek.
  • Similarly, we will require all our clients to be tested COVID negative for the safety of all
  • All our staff will be required to wear masks on the trip and will be equipped with hand sanitizers and wipes
  • All our staff will be individually trained on safety measures and quality assurance before the trek. They will strictly abide by the health and hygiene protocols that have been recommended by the Ministry of Health (MOH) and the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) – using masks, maintaining distance and washing hands frequently. “Safety first” will be our motto.
